Republican contest «Active longevity of people 65+» has started in Belarus

In order to develop and implement innovative projects and practices on active longevity and their informational coverage, the Republican contest «Active longevity of people 65+» has started among the territorial centers of social services for the population (TPSS). The competition is organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Republic of Belarus.
The competition is held in the following categories:
- «Active and healthy lifestyle» – publications about active older people attending TCSC departments;
- «Education, Employment and Creative Activity» – coverage of new ongoing practices (projects) on active longevity in the TCSP;
- «Social services, care, care and support» – a series of information materials developed by TCSC specialists;
- «Silver» volunteering – informational coverage of projects and practices for the participation of volunteers in social activities, initiatives on the principle of «an equal teaches an equal», etc.
- «Union of Generations» – informational coverage of projects and practices for the development of intergenerational dialogue between the older generation and youth, etc.
The results of the contest will be summed up in December 2023.
Holding the republican contest «Active longevity of people 65+» will contribute to the achievement of the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 3, 8, 10 and other SDGs.
