In order to create a favorable business environment for the development of entrepreneurship in Belarus, the State Program «Small and Medium Enterprises» for 2021–2025 is being implemented.

The implementation of the State Program activities helps to stimulate the initiative of citizens and strengthen the potential of domestic business, including women’s entrepreneurship, as one of the key points in the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Today, the level of women’s involvement in the business environment in Belarus is 36.4%, which is 4.4% higher than in 2023.

In addition, the State program provides citizens with wide access to support services and financing for small and medium-sized businesses. In 2021-2023, the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs financed 114 SME projects worth about 19 million rubles, more than 70 contact and cooperation exchanges were organized and conducted. Over the past three years, the volume of lending to business entities by the Development Bank, Belarusbank, Belinvestbank and Belagroprombank exceeded 29 billion rubles.

The implementation of the activities of the State Program «Small and Medium Enterprises» for 2021–2025 contributes to the development of entrepreneurial activity, increasing the competitiveness of regions and contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, 11 and other SDGs.
