Sociological research of society’s expectations of the future five-year plan is conducted in Belarus

From April 4 to 21, 2025 a large-scale sociological research “Society’s expectations and development priorities for the next five-year plan” is being conducted in Belarus.

The research includes a traditional survey and an online survey of Belarusian citizens.

The Republican Population Survey is conducted by the Center for Social and Humanitarian Research of BSEU by the method of apartment interview among the population of Belarus aged 18 years and older. A total of 1,500 people will be surveyed.

The online survey “Five Year Quality” is organized through the online platform “National Five-Year Plan” and is an innovative tool for studying public opinion. The online survey is identical to the republican survey in the offline format and is an addition to the traditional methods of collecting sociological information. It is planned to survey online at least 25 thousand people.

Also, the results of the study will include the generalization of citizens’ suggestions from the online platform “National Five-Year Plan”. The advantage of the platform is that it is simple and accessible. It can be accessed from any device and there are no restrictions for users. Participation in the platform is anonymous. At the moment, more than 3 thousand proposals have already been registered on it.

Conducting the study “Society’s expectations and development priorities for the next five-year plan” will contribute to the formation of the Socio-Economic Development Program for 2026 – 2030.
