The competition “Solar Energy for Green Schools” was held by A1 company in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the United Nations Development Program in Belarus. The main goal of the project was to make environmental information more accessible for schoolchildren.
Holders of the Green School Diploma took part in the contest. They showed their experience in implementing environmental programs, actions and projects, and the jury selected seven winners: one in each region of the country and one in Minsk. The prize will be the installation of special equipment for converting solar energy into electricity. This demonstrates a concrete contribution to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 7 “Ensuring universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy sources for all”.
