In October 2021, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, OJSC «Belagroprombank» and the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus signed an Agreement on cooperation and interaction to develop and support the start-up movement and small innovative entrepreneurship. This Agreement provides for the formation of a start-up support network at the initial stages of the business life cycle, allowing start-ups at any stage of doing business to receive the necessary consulting, information, educational, financial assistance, as well as organizing joint start-up events for start-up entrepreneurs by network participants. It is planned to increase the share of such events for the regions and the city of Minsk for 2023 to 50–70 percent of the total number of planned start-up events. This will make it possible to use the potential of network members and discover the most promising start-up projects, ensuring their further support and development. At the moment, there are about 80 organizations in the start-up movement support network.
Support for the start-up movement makes an important contribution to the development of the country’s entrepreneurial activity, as well as to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9 and other SDGs.
