Support for people with difficulties in understanding information is provided in Belarus

4 April 2022

April 2 is celebrated annually as World Autism Awareness Day. On this day, attention is drawn to the need to promote the improvement of the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities, as well as providing them with equal opportunities in obtaining information and quality education.

It is especially difficult for people who have difficulties with the perception and understanding of the text to independently obtain information and understand the events taking place. Each of us can help such people. To do this, you can use the 10 basic principles of clear language, which will help to adapt any information and make it more understandable for people with comprehension difficulties.

Providing accessible information and quality education for people with intellectual disabilities is an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 10 and other SDGs.
