Support for women’s entrepreneurial initiatives will be provided in Belarus

On April 28, 2022, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, the NGO «Belarusian Union of Women» and OJSC «Belinvestbank» signed an Agreement on cooperation and interaction to stimulate women’s entrepreneurial initiative.

The agreement provides for the implementation of a number of measures aimed at developing and supporting women’s entrepreneurship. These activities include:

• identifying and overcoming existing barriers to women’s entrepreneurship;
• joint organization of information, educational and consulting events;
• support for projects for the development of small and medium-sized businesses with an emphasis on solving social problems.

The signing of the Agreement will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 5, 8, 10 and other SDGs.
