On February 15–17, 2022, the forum «Smart Sustainable Cities: Social, Economic and Management Components» is being held in Minsk. The forum is organized by the International Telecommunication Union jointly with OJSC Giprosvyaz with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus. The Forum discusses the organizational and technical aspects of the development of smart sustainable cities.
The development of smart sustainable cities in the Republic of Belarus is carried out as part of the integrated project «Smart Cities of Belarus», which is being implemented in accordance with the State Program «Digital Development of Belarus» for 2021-2025.
The project is aimed at building a modern regional management system as a basis for carrying out activities for a comprehensive digital transformation of the economy and social sphere of the Republic of Belarus.
The introduction of «smart» solutions, analysis and consideration of international best practices is an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 9, 11, 17 and other SDGs.
