On January 26, 2024, a press conference «On the Results of Scientific Activities in the Field of Ecology in 2023 and Plans for 2024» was held in Minsk.
Representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, the State Scientific and Production Association «Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Bioresources», State Enterprise «NPC for Geology», Republican Unitary Enterprise «Central Research Institute for the Integrated Use of Water Resources», State institution «Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Pollution and Environmental Monitoring», Republican Unitary Enterprise «BelNIC «Ecology» took part in the conference.
Participants of the press conference presented the results of scientific activities in the field of ecology in 2023, and also discussed plans for 2024, measures to implement and improve scientific activities in the field of ecology, the organization of interdepartmental work, the participation of Belarusian scientists in international projects and other issues.
The main objectives for improving scientific activity in the field of ecology for 2024 are: further formation of the scientific potential of organizations, high-quality implementation of research work taking into account the development of new directions, development of cooperation in the development and implementation of projects and programs.
Sustainable use of natural resources, improvement of scientific activities in the field of ecology, transition to environmentally friendly and resource-saving technologies make an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15 and other SDGs.
