The draft Strategy for Production and Consumption Waste Management in the Republic of Belarus has been submitted for public discussion

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus is holding a public discussion of the draft resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus “On the Strategy for Production and Consumption Waste Management in the Republic of Belarus”.

The draft proposes to approve the Strategy on production and consumption waste management, the main task of which is to form an integrated waste management system aimed at ensuring that by 2040 the level of waste utilization is not less than 90%.

Comments and suggestions can be made in the special topic on the Legal Forum of Belarus until May 22, 2025.

Approval and implementation of the provisions of the Strategy for Production and Consumption Waste Management in the Republic of Belarus will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goals 12, 13 and the other SDGs.
