The General Meeting of the Global Compact Network Participants in Belarus was held
On September 26, 2024, the General Meeting of the UN Global Compact Network participants in Belarus was held in Minsk.
The event was attended by representatives of business, government agencies, and international organizations.
Participants of the meeting in the format of focus groups discussed prospects for cooperation between the UN system and Belarusian business. Also, during the event were presented: the UN Fund for Localizing Sustainable Development and the results of the Global Compact Network for the 2nd-3rd quarters of 2024.
In addition, the meeting included a ceremony to award certificates to new members of the UN Global Compact Network in Belarus and Gratitudes for active contribution to the development of the Network and the promotion of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
With Gratitudes were awarded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich, and the UN Resident Coordinator in Belarus Rasul Bagirov
The activities of the UN Global Compact Network in Belarus make an important contribution to the promotion of sustainable development and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
