On July 30, 2025, a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus was held in Minsk, during which layouts of state programs for 2026-2030 were considered.
Government programs are of key importance in the implementation of the next five-year program for the socio-economic development of Belarus. To date, a lot of work has already been done to identify shortcomings in the current five-year plans that will need to be addressed in the preparation of future programs. The basic principles of this work have also been developed. First, all programs should be strictly aimed at meeting the objectives of the new socio—economic development program for 2026-2030. The second principle is that all indicators of future programs should correspond to the goals and objectives of the next five-year plan. The third is management. Each government program will have a single regulator responsible for meeting all indicators.
To date, a list and layouts of future government programs have already been prepared. They have goals, objectives, and indicators. These are 19 socio-economic programs, as well as an innovative development program. They contain 60 subprograms and approximately 120 targets.
The development and implementation of government programs contributes to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
