The impact of plastic on the country’s environmental safety will be discussed in Minsk

On October 5, 2023, a round table on the topic: «Environmental safety of the Republic of Belarus. «Good» and «bad» plastic» will be held in Minsk.

The event will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Belarus, State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, OJSC «Belresursy», Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Societies «Belkoopsoyuz», State Institution «Operator of Secondary Material Resources», Belarusian Production and Trade Concern of the Forestry, Woodworking and Pulp and Paper Industries.

During the event, participants will discuss the following questions: What number and variety of plastic labels exist at the moment? What types of plastic can be recycled in your area? What number and variety of plastic markings exist at the moment?  What measures are being taken to protect the environment? How developed is environmental awareness among the population? What is the effect of resource processing? and others.

The implementation of measures to ensure the environmental safety of the country makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 12, 13, 15 and other SDGs.
