The Ministry of Natural Resources and the country’s leading universities signed roadmaps for developing cooperation

On August 23, 2024, Roadmaps for the development of cooperation between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus and 9 higher education institutions of Belarus in the field of environmental protection and rational (sustainable) use of natural resources for 2024–2026 were signed in Minsk.
Roadmaps are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of interaction on issues of improving environmental education, training specialists in the field of environmental protection and rational (sustainable) nature management, as well as improving their qualifications.
Roadmaps include: carrying out scientific research within the framework of scientific programs, exchange of experience in the field of environmental protection, development of a network form of interaction in the implementation of the curriculum of optional classes “Fundamentals of rational use of natural resources and protection of natural resources”, engaging managers and specialists of the Ministry of Natural Resources organizations as managers or scientific consultants for students’ term papers, diploma papers and master’s dissertations, and others.
The Roadmaps were signed by the following higher education institutions:
- Belarusian State University;
- Belarusian National Technical University;
- Belarusian State Technological University;
- Gomel State University named after Francisk Skaryna;
- Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies;
- Grodno State University named after Yanka Kupala;
- Brest State Technical University;
- Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov;
- Baranovichi State University.
The development of cooperation between the Ministry of Natural Resources and the country’s higher education institutions will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goals 4, 12, 13, 15 and the other SDGs.
