On September 26, 2024, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus and the state institution “Administration of the Free Economic Zone “Mogilev” signed an Agreement on cooperation and interaction in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The subject of the Agreement is cooperation in the field of scientific research in the development and implementation of the best available technologies in the field of nature management, the creation of a research infrastructure for effective interaction between science and the real sector of the economy based on the production enterprises-residents of the FEZ “Mogilev”, the creation of an effective system for training highly qualified personnel in the field of environmental protection, raising public awareness of the achievements and prospects of science in the field of developing technologies for cleaning atmospheric air, wastewater, and handling industrial waste. The Agreement also provides for joint work on environmental education of schoolchildren, students, and the population.

The development of cooperation between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus and the state institution “Administration of the Free Economic Zone “Mogilev” will make an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
