The National Center for Legislation and Legal Information began operating in Belarus

On July 1, 2024, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated March 14, 2024 No. 96 “On the National Center for Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus”, the National Center for Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus began operating. The center was created on the basis of the National Center for Legislation and Legal Research and the National Center for Legal Information, which were reorganized through the merger.
The Center is a state scientific and practical institution that ensures the preparation of draft legal acts, methodological guidance of rule-making activities, conducting legal examination of legal acts (their drafts), official publication of legal acts, work with legal information, its dissemination (provision), conducting scientific research in the field of law and training highly qualified scientists.
The functioning of the National Center for Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus will help improve the efficiency of rule-making activities and work with legal information, development of the state legal information system, especially in terms of digitalization, which will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goals 9, 16 and the other SDGs.
