The National Strategy for Tourism Development in the Republic of Belarus until 2035 was approved

At the session of the Interdepartmental expert-coordination council on tourism at the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus the National strategy of tourism development in the Republic of Belarus till 2035 was considered and approved.

The Strategy pays attention to current trends and prospects of tourism development in the modern world, indicates the current situation and potential for tourism development in the Republic of Belarus, defines key guidelines for tourism development. The strategy is based on the analysis of global trends, the current state of tourism in the Republic of Belarus, the maximum use of the country’s tourism potential, including the integration of efforts from related industries and activities.

Implementation of the National Strategy for Tourism Development in the Republic of Belarus until 2035 will contribute to the Sustainable Development Agenda-2030 achievement by increasing the contribution of tourism to the country’s economy, ensuring its innovative development, high level of competitiveness, creation of new jobs and improving the quality of life. One of the goals of the Strategy is to expand the practical implementation of Sustainable Development Goals accelerators in tourism and to place the Republic of Belarus among the 100 destinations of sustainable tourism.
