On October 10, 2023, a strategic foresight session on the topic: «Long-term trends and priorities for sustainable development of Belarus» was held at the Scientific Research Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus.
The brainstorming session was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belarusian universities, leading enterprises of the country, scientists and experts.
During the interactive work, experts analyzed global trends, risks and opportunities for achieving long-term goals of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2026-2040, and also identified practical steps for their implementation for 2026-2030. The results of the foresight session will form the basis of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of the Republic of Belarus for the period until 2040 (NSSD-2040).
