The Republic of Belarus participated in the 74th session of the World Health Assembly

The annual forum of the World Health Organization was held in the online format with the participation of 194 countries, including the Republic of Belarus. The main focus of the session was the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and prevention of new emergencies. The session’s slogan was “Ending this pandemic, preventing the next: building together a healthier, safer and fairer world”
 
In addition, the session discussed the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the WHO “Three Billion” Goals, which are to increase by one billion:

•     the number of recipients of increased protection from health emergencies,  
•     the number of people covered by a nationwide health program;
•     the number of people whose health and well-being will improve.

Fighting infectious disease epidemics, promoting vaccine research and development, and ensuring universal health coverage are the goals of Sustainable Development Goal 3, Good Health and Well-Being for All.
