The VII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Information Technologies and Law» was held in Minsk

On October 28, 2021, the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Information Technologies and Law (Legal Informatization — 2021)» was held in Minsk.
The conference was organized by the Supreme Court, the National Center for Legal Information (NCLI), the Ministry of Justice, the Republican Bar Association, the Belarusian State University and the National Library of the Republic of Belarus.
The conference was held in order to determine the state and prospects for the development of informatization in the system of courts of general jurisdiction. The work of the conference was divided into thematic sections devoted to topical issues of informatization of justice and the execution of court decisions.
During the conference, the most promising directions for the development of the informatization of the judicial system were identified:
- expanding the scope of electronic document flow between the court and the participants in the process;
- preparation of court orders, executive documents in the form of an electronic document, which will allow to implement the concept of formation of electronic files and electronic archives;
- improving the methods of notifying persons participating in the consideration of cases using electronic means of communication;
- providing access to court orders via the Internet.
At the end of the conference, the participants adopted a final document, which recorded the ways and results of informatization in justice.
The active implementation of information technologies in judicial activity provides new effective opportunities for the implementation of speedy and fair justice, which contributes to the achievement of the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goal 16 and other SDGs.
