From 24 to 30 May, 2024, the Republican Week of Tourism and Local History for children and youth is being held in educational institutions of Belarus. The event is organized by the Republican Center for Ecology and Local History with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
The Week’s events are aimed at improving the quality of work of the country’s educational institutions in shaping national identity among the younger generation, as well as popularizing and developing tourism, local history and excursion activities among teaching staff and students of educational institutions.
Conditions and recommendations for holding events of the Republican Week of Tourism and Local History for Children and Youth
Using the potential of tourism, local history and excursions in the educational process is an important resource that contributes to the education of students, the formation of a healthy lifestyle and the development of creative abilities, which contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 13, 15 and other SDGs.
