The winners of the republican competition to reduce emissions from motor vehicles announced in Belarus

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection summed up the results of the republican competition to reduce emissions from motor vehicles for 2023 among business entities of various forms of ownership.

A total of 92 business entities took part in the competition. Three winners were determined in each category. Organizations were awarded the greatest number of points for having mechanical vehicles that use electricity as an energy source. The best results in reducing emissions in 2023 were achieved by:

• in the category «organizations whose ownership, economic management or operational management includes from 25 to 100 units of motor vehicles» – State Forestry Institution «Shchuchin Forestry», Shchuchin, Grodno region;
• in the category «organizations whose ownership, economic management or operational management includes 100 or more units of motor vehicles» – RUE «National Airport Minsk», Minsk.

Holding a republican competition to reduce emissions from motor vehicles contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 3, 13 and other SDGs.
