Thematic conference on the Sustainable Development Goals was held in Stolin

On August 25, 2023, within the framework of the XVII Republican Environmental Forum, the conference «Intersectoral cooperation in the context of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)» was held.

The conference is of great importance given the participation of the Belarusian delegation in the SDG Summit, which will be held in September this year in New York. Belarus will present the country’s achievements in the implementation of the 2023 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

During the conference, the following issues were discussed:

• the progress of the Republic of Belarus in achieving the SDGs at the national and regional levels, with an emphasis on environmental protection and climate change;
• systemic solutions to the climate agenda based on an intersectoral approach in the context of sustainable development;
• financing of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The conference «Intersectoral cooperation in the context of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)» will contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
