Twenty-five classes in Minsk schools received the Green Class certificate

The city project “Green Classes in the Belarusian capital” is implemented by the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection together with the institution “Center for Environmental Education and Development”. Its aim is to foster a caring attitude to natural diversity and to draw children’s attention to environmental problems.
Pupils of green classes were given field diaries with information about the biodiversity of the school’s natural surroundings and environmental trails. Additional environmental education activities will also be conducted in the classrooms, making an important contribution toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals 4 “Quality Education”, 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production”, 13 “Combating Climate Change” and 15 “Preserving Terrestrial Ecosystems”.
