XVII Republican Ecological Forum was held in Stolin - Sustainable Development Goals in Belarus

On August 25-26, 2023, the XVII Republican Ecological Forum was held in Stolin. Within the framework of the Forum were held:

Round table «Development of ecological tourism in the Republic of Belarus»;
Round table «On the prospects for the development of the mineral resource base of the Brest Polissya»;
Round table «Hazardous waste management, prevention of impact on the environment and human health / Combating climate change and the contribution of the Republic of Belarus to the implementation of the goals of the Paris Agreement»;
Scientific-practical conference «30 years of the National Environmental Monitoring System of the Republic of Belarus».

In order to draw attention to the problem of climate change and possible forms of adaptation to it, an eco-quiz «Climate Challenges and Solutions» for children and youth was held at the Forum site. More than 65 schoolchildren and students took part in the eco-quiz.

The holding of the XVII Republican Environmental Forum makes an important contribution to the implementation of the Agenda for Sustainable Development for the period up to 2030.
