Youth vision for promoting the Sustainable Development Goals

Minsk State Linguistic University hosted the global café “Youth Vision for Promoting the Sustainable Development Goals: 2021”. The event was organized on the initiative of the Youth Ambassadors of the SDGs, Minsk State Linguistic University and the Public Republican Student Council. The SDGs Youth Ambassadors are active students who are engaged in the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Republic of Belarus. Each of the Ambassadors represents one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The World Café was hosted by Youth Ambassadors Nikita Rachilovsky (BSPU student, Goal #4 “Quality Education”) and Stefania-Vitalia Vinnichek (BSU student, Goal #16 “Peace, Justice, and Effective Institutions”). The aim of the event was to discuss current problems in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and to put forward new ideas for their solution from the perspective of today’s students and future educators.
In working groups, participants developed projects in the areas of “Education”, “Environment”, “Health” and “Gender Equality”. The teams successfully completed their tasks, and the participants voiced their ideas, views, initiatives that will help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
