Belarus ranks 60th in the Global Human Development Index

According to the UNDP Human Development Report 2021/2022, Belarus ranks 60 out of 191 countries in the Global Human Development Index.

The Human Development Index it is an integral indicator calculated to measure life expectancy, years of schooling and gross national income at purchasing power parity per capita in a particular territory.

The main indicators that are taken into account when developing the Global Human Development Index are life expectancy (72.4 years in Belarus), years of schooling (more than 15.2 years in Belarus), gross per capita income adjusted for purchasing power parity ( $18,849 in Belarus).

The indicators of the human development index reflect the progress of the Republic of Belarus in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
