An inclusive bakery-coffee house opened in Novopolotsk

A bakery-coffee house «Warm Bread» was opened in Novopolotsk, where people with disabilities work, each of whom performs an operation that is within their power.

The project for the creation of such an institution was developed at the initiative of the city organization of the public association «Belarusian Association for Assistance to Children with Disabilities and Young Disabled People».

The bakery operates on frozen convenience foods, but plans to use its own recipes in the future. Also, a plan has already been developed for the beneficial use of the bakery-coffee shop area: master classes will be held for all interested citizen on manual work with chocolate, baking gingerbread, etc.

This is not the first inclusive project in the city. In Novopolotsk, there are already two sports and playgrounds, a youth club «Dobrynya» and a school «Samoadvokat».

There are about 300 young disabled people living in Novopolotsk, most of whom can work. The creation and opening of such institutions enables people with disabilities to realize their potential and makes a significant contribution to the achievement of the Republic of Belarus Sustainable Development Goals 8, 10, 11 and other SDGs.
