On September 3, 2021, at the Center for Labor and Social and Household Rehabilitation of Disabled People of the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Population of the Lepel District, two labor workshops were opened, in which people with disabilities will receive professional skills: gardening and culinary.
The gardening workshop will cultivate an environmentally friendly crop for use in the culinary workshop or for sale to the public. At the culinary workshop, an inclusive cafe was organized, where visitors to the rehabilitation center, under the guidance of specialists, will learn the basics of the professions of a barista, waiter, and cook.
The creation of such workshops is an important contribution to the elimination of obstacles that prevent many people with disabilities from fully integrating into society, which is aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goals 8, 10 and others by the Republic of Belarus.
