Computer literacy training for young persons with disabilities was held in Grodno

On January 30-31, 2025, the training “Computer Fundamentals. Social networks” for young persons with disabilities was held in Grodno

First of all, the training was aimed at overcoming social loneliness, self-realization, adaptation in the information environment and unlocking creative potential by mastering and using the skills and abilities acquired during the training.

For two days, the training participants learned the basics of working on computers, smartphones, tablets, rules of behavior on the Internet, as well as mastered various Internet resources and online platforms for communication and content sharing.

The training was organized as a part of the pilot initiative “Inclusive Animation”, which is implemented by the Grodno Regional Organization of the Belarusian Red Cross Society with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Republic of Belarus within the framework of the Joint Project “Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs”, funded by the Russian Federation.

The main goal of the initiative is to promote the socialization of young persons with disabilities by creating an inclusive animation workshop and teaching practical skills in the production and promotion of animated videos.

The implementation of the pilot initiative “Inclusive Animation” will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 4, 9, 10 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
