Fair of Regional Initiatives for Local Development took place in Cherikov

On September 10, 2021, the «Regional Initiatives for Local Development» fair was held in Cherikov.

The fair was organized by the Local Fund for the Development of Rural Areas in cooperation with the Cherikovsky District Executive Committee in partnership with the Bykhovsky, Klichevsky, Slavgorodsky and Krasnopolsky District Executive Committees.

The main goal of the event was to determine the priorities of regional cooperation for the new period until 2025 based on the experience of regional cooperation.

The participants of the fair, representatives of initiative groups, organizations and local authorities of Bykhovsky, Klichevsky, Krasnopolsky, Slavgorodsky, Cherikovsky districts, agreed on a vision of development, events for the near future, resources and partnerships that will form the basis of new regional projects, initiatives, as well as in the Plan of regional cooperation to increase the sustainability of development of five rural areas of the Mogilev region for the period up to 2025.

Also on the territory of the fair there was an exhibition demonstrating the results of the implementation of local and regional initiatives of five districts participating in regional cooperation in 2019-2021.

Partnership is an effective tool for sustainable development of rural areas. To achieve high results in the even development of regions, effective and coordinated actions of each individual region are required. This partnership makes a significant contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 17.
