Families in Belarus receive assistance in preparing children for the school year

Support for families with children is an important component of the state family policy in the Republic of Belarus.

On the eve of September 1, in all regions of the country, large families received financial assistance to prepare their children for school. According to the data of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, those in need of additional support for families in which schoolchildren are brought up received financial assistance in the amount of 22 million rubles. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, families that need additional support, in which schoolchildren are brought up, received financial assistance in the amount of 22 million rubles.

To support families in preparing children for school across the country also held charity fairs and events organized by the territorial centers of social service, charitable foundations and public associations («Gather child to school», «In the school with a smile», «First Grader Schoolbag», «Putting the schoolbag together», etc.).

These activities are an important element in the implementation of the country’s family policy and are aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goals 1, 4, 5, 10 and other SDGs.
