New ecological trail was opened in Minsk
On July 2, 2024, new ecological trail “Shishki” was opened in the Sosny microdistrict (Minsk), on which a wide variety of objects of flora and fauna, landscape compositions, small architectural forms can be seen.
The route of the first line of the ecological trail is educational. It allows to get acquainted with the diversity of flora and fauna. The eco-route also includes play areas, stops (“Get to know the trees”, “Cones of the pine forest”, “Kingdom of plants”, “Search glade”, “Hotel for insects”, “Coniferous trees”), on which benches, urns, stands with a route map, feeders for squirrels are installed. A children’s sports complex is installed at the exit from the ecological space.
The opening of the ecological trail “Shishki” continues the tradition of creating ecological facilities in the capital, initiated by the Minsk City Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection back in 2016, and makes an important contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 13, 15 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
