On June 10-11, 2022, the republican STEAM-festival is being held on the basis of the educational institution «Gomel State University named after Francysk Skaryna». The theme of the 2022 festival is «Clean Water». Teams of educational institutions consisting of up to 4 students aged 10-17, accompanied by a team leader, are invited to participate.
At the festival site, the achievements of Belarusian science in the field of biology and physics are presented, master classes are held in the following areas: technology, design, engineering, mathematics, competitive events on the basics of modern programming in the Scratch environment, design based on the Arduino platform, creating interactive Internet applications with using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Holding the republican STEAM-festival contributes to the development of the younger generation’s motivation for knowledge, self-education and creativity in the field of information technology and contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 9 and other SDGs.
