On April 18, 2025, Brest region hosted a seminar “Investment Support: Peculiarities of Incentive Mechanisms” aimed at informing potential investors, business representatives and enterprises about new mechanisms of support of promising initiatives.
The seminar became a unique platform for discussing the issues of investment attraction in Brest region, gathering representatives of business, state structures, financial institutions.
The meeting was held in the mode of open dialog. During the discussion of thematic reports, different approaches to supporting business ideas and their realization into an investment project were considered. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus and the National Agency for Investment and Privatization also spoke about the peculiarities of the application of tools to support investment projects, development of industrial parks, special bank credit programs, and the country’s comprehensive system of support for investment activity.
As it was noted during the seminar, today more and more attention of regional authorities is paid to the mechanism of preferential investment projects. Eight decisions on inclusion of investment projects in the list of preferential projects have already been made, 4 of them in Brest region.
Successful investments contribute to the sustainable development of regions and improve the quality of life of their inhabitants, making an important contribution to the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
