The desire of Belarusian youth to improve their competencies is confirmed by international analysts

On September 2, 2021, a plenary session «Path to Science» was held in the Republic of Belarus, the main goal of which was to activate the interest of young people in science and innovation.

According to the GlobalSkillsIndex report prepared by the online educational platform Coursera, in the technological category the Republic of Belarus took first place in Europe and second in the world, which indicates the giftedness of Belarusian students and young scientists, as well as the effectiveness of the knowledge transformation system built in our country into skills.

The combination of the intellectual potential of youth and a favorable environment for its implementation is a prerequisite for the innovative development of the country and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9 and others.

According to the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Cheryakov, the involvement of young people in science and innovative technologies is the main objective of the next five years. it is necessary to liberate the innovative environment for the manifestation of initiative and create motivational mechanisms that stimulate the influx of young people.
