On December 14, 2021, the Digital Forum #GBCregions (State. Business. Citizens — regions) was held in Mogilev. The priority areas of the forum were digital solutions in the spheres of industry, transport and construction.

The event was organized by the National Traffic Exchange Center, the National Center for Electronic Services, as well as Belarusian cloud technologies with the support of the Operative Analytical Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.

The regional forum was attended by heads of state bodies and organizations, regional and district executive committees, representatives of IT companies, banks, businesses and educational institutions.

The participants discussed the issues of digital transformation in various spheres of life: the main trends in the digital economy of the industries, construction and transport; introduction of ID-cards and unmanned vehicles; use of 5G technologies; development of electronic government; protection of personal information; the main provisions of the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On the protection of personal data» and others.

Industry, transport and construction form the majority of the country’s gross value added. Digitalization and informatization of these spheres is an essential element of sustainable development, both of the economy of the Mogilev region and of Belarus as a whole.

The #GBCregions Regional Forum is aimed at solving the tasks of Sustainable Development Goals 7, 8, 9, 11 and other SDGs.
