On February 7, 2024, the final board meeting of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Minsk City Executive Committee was held in Minsk.

During the event, the results of the work of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Minsk City Executive Committee for 2023 and tasks for 2024, as well as issues of employment, reducing the level of occupational injuries, developing a social service system, etc. were discussed.

In 2023, Minsk will ensure a 10% increase in the number of citizens who receive social services in territorial social service centers, and a decrease in fatal injuries and the total number of injured at work has been noted. A Plan of Additional Actions to Reduce the Level of Occupational Injuries for 2024 has been developed. The document provides for the holding of zero-injury weeks, months of safe work in construction, industry and in organizations whose property is owned by the city of Minsk.

The development of a social service system, the organization of safe working conditions, and the promotion of employment contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 10 and other SDGs.
