On November 16, 2023, the largest Crisis Center of the Belarusian Red Cross in the country was opened in Mogilev.
The total area of the center premises is over 120 sq. m. Up to 20 people can be accommodated here at the same time. Rooms for living and relaxation, a kitchen and dining area, a place for conversations and surveys, an «orange» space for children, and a room for individual and group meetings with psychologists organized in the center. Residents of the center will be provided with information and advisory assistance, psychosocial support, as well as comprehensive assistance in resolving social issues – employment, paperwork, restoring contact with family, finding a permanent place of residence, etc. Also, at the center it will be possible to learn first aid skills, work with children and the elderly, people with disabilities and other categories of the population. In the future, the center plans to organize an office for the prevention of cognitive disorders in the elderly, rental of rehabilitation equipment, a center for the distribution of humanitarian aid and a number of other services.
The Сrisis center of the Belarusian Red Cross in Mogilev became the fifth in Belarus. Similar centers already operate in Grodno, Gomel, Brest and Vitebsk. It is planned to open another center in Grodno.
Providing support to people in difficult situations makes an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
