The project «Cornflower Land» will unite more than 300 tourist sites in the Vitebsk region in 2024

Since 2021, the pilot project «Cornflower Land» has been implemented in the Vitebsk region. The goal of the project is the effective use of unique resources to increase the tourist attractiveness of the Vitebsk region.

The idea of the project is to promote the region’s tourism opportunities through QR codes «Cornflower Guide» installed at the tourist site. Using the mobile application «Cornflower Land – Life», tourists can get acquainted with the tourist site and its history. The application also includes navigation through cities and regional centers of the region, including routes, virtual tours, audio guides to various popular places and attractions in the region.

To date, 12 districts of the Vitebsk region are involved in the project, where 150 tourist sites are located. In 2024, the project will spread to all districts and unite more than 300 key tourist sites in the Vitebsk region.

The project «Cornflower Land» creates conditions for the development of domestic tourism and tourism infrastructure in the Vitebsk region, which contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 11, 12 and other SDGs.
