The resource center for training social service specialists was opened in Brest

In January 2024, on the basis of the state institution «Territorial Center for Social Services for the Population of the Leninsky District of Brest», with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund in Belarus (UNICEF), a resource center for training social service specialists began operating. This is a pilot project for the Brest region.

The resource center provides for the accumulation of best practices, their replication, and the study of the use of new approaches and techniques. At the resource center, specialists will exchange experiences, improve their knowledge on issues such as organizing social patronage for families, professional communication with families in difficult life situations, management of social projects, etc.

The operation of a resource center for training social service specialists will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 10 and other SDGs.
