On September 18-20, 2024, the XVIII Gomel Economic Forum was held in Gomel.
The forum is a platform for discussing current issues of international trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as establishing long-term interregional and cooperative ties.
More than 320 people from 16 countries took part in the XVIII Gomel Economic Forum: Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Vietnam, Mongolia, India, Iran, Palestine, UAE, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Pakistan and others. Among the participants were representatives of government bodies, diplomatic missions of foreign states in the Republic of Belarus, representatives of more than 50 largest enterprises in the Gomel region.
The Forum program was devoted to key issues of development of the Gomel region in the spheres of industry, innovation, investment, entrepreneurship, tourism. The program included a plenary session and the work of the thematic sections “Production and Construction Potential”, “Tourism and the Social Sphere”, and “Small and Medium Business”. Also within the framework of the Forum, the work of the exhibition “PromStroyAgro” was organized, in which more than 40 enterprises and organizations of the Gomel region in various branches of production and science took part.
The holding of the Gomel Economic Forum contributes to the socio-economic development of the Gomel region and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, 11 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
