On December 6, 2024, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference “Education in the Interests of the Future” was held at the educational institution “Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank”.
The Conference was aimed at promoting the ideas of education for sustainable development in the national education system and will promote international and interregional cooperation in the field of theory and practice of updating the content of education in accordance with the principles of the ESD methodology, SDG 4 and the objectives of the ESD Roadmap – 2030.
354 people from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and China took part in the Conference in online and offline formats. These include teaching staff of pre-school and general secondary education institutions, additional education for children and youth, additional education for adults, university teachers, students, master’s students, postgraduates, and SDG Youth Ambassadors.
Based on the results of the Conference, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific articles, the electronic version of which will be posted on the website of the Coordination Center, as well as in the e-library and the Russian Science Citation Index.
The event was organized by the Coordination Center “Education for Sustainable Development” of BSPU with the support of UNICEF and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus within the framework of the Joint Project “Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs”.
Holding of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Education in the Interests of the Future” makes an important contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 4, 16, 17 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
