On May 21, 2025, at the EI “Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank” the III Republican Forum of Young Friends of CSD took place.
The forum was the final stage of the III Republican Educational Project “Lessons of Sustainable Development” and included an award ceremony for the winners of the III Republican contest “Young Friends of the SDGs”.
Within the framework of the forum, the winners of the contest “Young Friends of the SDGs” presented youth socially significant initiatives realized by them within the contest. The defense of the implemented projects was held in the format of “Open Microphone”, the guys answered questions from the audience, shared their impressions about the lessons on the SDGs, which they conducted with junior high school students, and plans related to the promotion of the SDGs among young people in the next school year.
The interactive stage of the forum was the SDG marathon. As part of the SDG marathon, schoolchildren were offered to visit 4 thematic stations: “Soobrajarii”, “Hexes”, ‘Associations’, “Pictograms”.
The III Republican Educational Project “Lessons of Sustainable Development” was organized and conducted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the EI “Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank” within the framework of the project “Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs” funded by the Government of the Russian Federation.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, 215 students of pedagogical profile classes representing 78 institutions of general secondary education from all regions of the country participated in the project “Lessons of Sustainable Development”. Participation in the project allowed students to form an understanding of the meaning of sustainable development, realize their own role in achieving the SDGs, and gain experience in implementing socially significant initiatives.
