The text of the law is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/pravo.by\/upload\/docs\/op\/H11900272_1577394000.pdf\">pravo.by<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Law of the Republic of Belarus \u201cOn the Protection and Use of Peatlands\u201d establishes the legal basis for the protection of peatlands, rational (sustainable) use of their resources and is aimed at the conservation of peatlands, conservation, restoration of the biosphere functions of peatlands, satisfaction of economic and other needs in these resources of the present and future generations, as well as for the implementation of the rights of citizens to a favorable environment and natural resource management, international treaties of the Republic of Belarus in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The adoption of the Law is aimed at achieving sustainable development goals, in particular,&nbsp;sustainable development goal&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/sdgs.by\/targets\/target13\/\">13<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/sdgs.by\/targets\/target15\/\">15<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On December 18, 2019 the Law of the Republic of Belarus \u201cOn Protection and Use of Peatlands\u201d was adopted.
