Among the participants were representatives of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, district executive committees, Minsk Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, educational institutions, banking sector, enterprises, public organizations, SDG Youth Ambassadors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the format of the \u201cWorkshop of the Future\u201d discussion in small groups, participants discussed the potential opportunities and challenges, strengths and weaknesses of the Minsk region, and also determined the vision of the Minsk region by 2040. Participants of the \u201cWorkshop of the Future\u201d see the Minsk region as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>youth-friendly region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>high-tech and innovative region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>environmentally safe region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>infrastructure-developed region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>economically sustainable and socially oriented region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the priority areas for sustainable development of the Minsk region by 2040, participants highlighted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>development of urban mobility;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>development and implementation of new investment instruments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>social development of the region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>development of high-tech production;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>introduction of resource-efficient production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Strategic sessions on the development of the regional sustainable development strategy of the Minsk region was organized by the Minsk Regional Executive Committee with the support of the United Nations Development Programme in Belarus within the framework of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.by\/en\/joint-project-supporting-the-efforts-of-the-republic-of-belarus-in-the-nationalization-and-localization-of-sdgs\/\">the Joint Project \u201cSupport to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs\u201d<\/a>, funded by the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"pgc-sgb-cb wp-block-pgcsimplygalleryblock-grid \"
