The seminars were held in the Vasilyevichi Special Boarding School for Children with Visual Disabilities, the Special School No. 188 for Children with Visual Disabilities in Minsk, and the Orsha Sports Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the seminars, the students learned the history of the development of SHOWDOWN in the world, studied the rules of the game, got acquainted with sports equipment, received recommendations from the coach and practiced the basic techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pilot initiative \u201cTraining Visually Impaired Individuals in Adaptive Sports: SHOWDOWN\u201d is implemented by the Belarusian Society of the Visually Impaired (NGO) with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Republic of Belarus within the framework of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.by\/en\/joint-project-supporting-the-efforts-of-the-republic-of-belarus-in-the-nationalization-and-localization-of-sdgs\/\">Joint Project \u201cSupport to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs\u201d<\/a>\u00a0funded by the Government of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Implementation of the initiative\u2019s activities contributes to the socialization of persons with visual disabilities through training in the SHOWDOWN game of table tennis and contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.by\/en\/targets\/target4\/\">4<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.by\/en\/targets\/target8\/\">8<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.by\/en\/targets\/target10\/\">10<\/a>&nbsp;and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color\">.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2025-05-15 \u0411\u0435\u043b\u0422\u0418\u0417: \u0440\u0435\u0430\u043b\u0438\u0437\u0430\u0446\u0438\u044f \u043f\u0438\u043b\u043e\u0442\u043d\u043e\u0439 \u0438\u043d\u0438\u0446\u0438\u0430\u0442\u0438\u0432\u044b \u0434\u043b\u044f \u043e\u0431\u0443\u0447\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044f \u0430\u0434\u0430\u043f\u0442\u0438\u0432\u043d\u044b\u043c \u0432\u0438\u0434\u0430\u043c \u0441\u043f\u043e\u0440\u0442\u0430\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hO0QgO3-0eM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 13-15, 2025, training seminars on playing table tennis for the blind &#8220;SHOWDOWN&#8221; were held in schools in Belarus where children with visual disabilities study.
