Resolution No. 138 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated March 24, 2026 “On the Definition of the List”<\/a> approved a list of projects implemented in the Brest, Gomel, Grodno and Mogilev regions in 2026 aimed at the socio-economic development of areas exposed to radioactive contamination as a result of the Chernobyl disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resolution was prepared by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus jointly with the Brest, Gomel, Grodno and Mogilev regional executive committees and provides for the implementation of 16 projects. Of the total number of projects, seven are related to the production sector, including agriculture; six are related to healthcare; two are related to education; and one is aimed at developing social infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, nine projects have already been included in the relevant government programs in the areas of activity. Five more are planned to be included in the state programs “Agroindustrial Complex of the Future” and “Belarus Intellectual”. Two production projects will be implemented as part of the Gomel Region investment program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The implementation of projects aimed at the socio-economic development of areas exposed to radioactive contamination as a result of the Chernobyl disaster contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goals 3<\/a>, 10<\/a>, 11<\/a>, 15<\/a> and the other SDGs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
