On July 1, 2026, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus launched a new payment service, KROC, a single instant QR payment tool that allows you to pay for goods and services directly from a bank account.
The service was created specifically for Belarus and considers the specifics of national regulation, the requirements of banks and user habits. KROC operates on the principle of direct debit of funds from the account, which makes payment faster and technologically easier. A QR code is generated at the checkout or in the application, the user scans it, confirms the operation, and the payment is instantly received by the recipient.
So far, the service has started operating in selected stores in Minsk, Vitebsk, Gomel and Soligorsk, as well as in a number of online stores. After testing, large retail chains will connect to the system. At the same time, integration is expanding: the Pay service is already ready to provide the opportunity to pay via CROC at its points.
By the end of 2026, KROC will be available in all mobile applications of Belarusian banks. In the future, international integration is planned — users will be able to pay for purchases in countries where compatible QR systems operate.
The functioning of the KROC payment service will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goals 1, 8, 9 and the other SDGs.
