Youth ambassadors are the winners of the contest "Youth Ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals – the future of the planet is in our hands", organized by the Education Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Education, the National Children and Youth Arts Center, the Republican Center for Ecology and Local History, and the Republican Youth Center. The SDG Youth Ambassador is a student representative selected to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and guided by the slogan "For a Sustainable Future Together". Youth ambassadors popularize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among young people, inform them about the mechanisms for achieving sustainable development indicators at the local and national levels, help young people to acquire knowledge and professional competencies of the 21st century, and master the ideas and principles of sustainable development.
The Sustainable Development Goals aim to create a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous world for all people and future generations. Goal №1 in the Republic of Belarus should lead to improving the lives of people who live in extreme poverty. This can be achieved by creating conditions for education, health care, access to work and housing. In addition, the eradication of poverty should lead to an increase in the level of economic development of the country. Significant results can be achieved in achieving the goals with well-coordinated teamwork of all SDG Youth Ambassadors in the Republic of Belarus. Ultimately, the goal of eradicating poverty must lead to the creation of a more just and equal society, where all people have equal opportunities for self-realization and development.
The Sustainable Development Goals are a plan of action to eradicate inequality, poverty, protect the environment and climate, and leave our planet livable for future generations. All Goals are interconnected and each of them has its own value. Goal 2 is related to a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition and access to quality products. My task is to talk about the importance of proper nutrition, its impact on health, and also to spread information in general about the SDGs, since many people do not know anything about the agenda or have only heard about it in passing. Only together we can influence our future!
SDG 3, in my opinion, is one of the most important goals, since a healthy society is the main component of sustainable development. Belarus has already made significant strides in improving health, but more efforts are needed to completely eliminate various diseases. Everyone can start with measures to support and protect their own health, and my task is to conduct educational activities in society so that health becomes the highest value among all generations.
SDG 4 is aimed at increasing the accessibility and quality of education in accordance with the needs of an innovative economy and the requirements of the information society, developing a system of lifelong education, and improving the qualifications of teachers. I can help solve these complex problems by developing high-quality and accessible educational resources, innovative teaching methods, supporting student educational initiatives and creating conditions for the development of professional skills and knowledge.
The goals and objectives of sustainable development are designed to transform the world. All Goals are interconnected and contribute to the improvement of the economic, social and environmental spheres. My goal is to be able to prevent various forms of inequality against women. Activities that promote the elimination of discrimination against women and girls play an important role in the development of all three areas and have a direct path to creating a sustainable world.
The Sustainable Development Goals are an opportunity to pass on the planet in good condition to the future generation, laying the foundation for the development of all spheres of life. My main goal is to contribute to ensuring equal access to high-quality and affordable drinking water for every person, as well as maintaining the country’s water bodies in a favorable environmental condition. After all, water is the source of life. And the main secret of successful work for me is only my own desire and initiative.
The world has become electrified and it is difficult to imagine our life without electricity. However, not all people have access to an uninterrupted and energy-efficient source of electricity. In addition, a large amount of harmful emissions and greenhouse gases during electricity production have a significant impact on the ecology of our planet. SDG 7 aims to increase the availability of electricity for all segments of the population so that everyone has access to affordable and reliable electricity, which will improve the quality of life and develop the economy. The transition to clean and renewable energy sources, the development of solar, wind, hydropower and other industries, which will inevitably lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and a reduction in the negative impact on the environment. Increasing energy efficiency, helping to reduce energy consumption in various areas of industry, transport, housing and communal services. Expanding the ability to produce and distribute clean electricity, strengthening energy security and resilience of the electricity system.
SDG 8 aims to ensure that every person in our society has the opportunity to find a decent job and that the country’s economy grows sustainably and efficiently. This Goal embraces the idea of creating jobs that promote innovative growth, entrepreneurship, and labor equity. Modern banking systems play an important role in achieving this Goal, providing access to financial resources to stimulate entrepreneurial activity. And in parallel with this, support for youth employment, which provides sustainable prospects for the future. Through this Goal, we seek a balance between social responsibility, economic development and the quality of labor relations. Our goal is not only to provide employment opportunities for everyone, but also to encourage innovation and entrepreneurial activity, thereby being on the path to sustainable economic growth.

Our task is to create sustainable and equal conditions for the life and development of citizens in Belarus. We strive to ensure that every person has access to education, healthcare, work and cultural values. A high standard of living for all citizens is one of our main goals! Through various programs and activities aimed at reducing socio-economic differences, we will create favorable conditions for the sustainable development of society as a whole. Together we can achieve our sustainable development goals, ensuring well-being for all citizens and preserving natural resources for future generations.
High rates of urbanization create a number of problems for cities, heavy traffic jams, environmental pollution and a number of economic difficulties. Achieving SDG 11 is an opportunity for every person to live in comfortable conditions. Sustainable development will give us and future generations opportunity and contribution of every person is important to achieve the SDGs. And affordable housing, comfortable transport, preservation of cultural heritage, sustainable planning and safety are precisely the tasks and values that are included in the spectrum of achieving SDG 11.
Taking a conscious approach to everything you buy, use and throw away can change your life for the better. Not only the life of Belarusians, but also life on our entire planet. By being conscious of your consumption, the negative impact on our environment is reduced. Before you buy anything, start using something, just ask yourself, “Do I need this? What consequences will the world around us have?”.
The world is on the verge of global change. Climate change is a harsh reality, a major problem that must be combated today. Our future depends on how thoroughly we prepare for the much greater changes ahead. We are obliged to take all necessary measures to minimize the negative consequences of global climate change. My mission includes educating and mobilizing youth, promoting sustainable practices and facilitating projects to achieve Goal №13. Only together can we overcome future difficulties, so I urge everyone to action, because your word can be decisive! Start by learning about the SDGs – the more people who are aware of the challenges facing us, the greater the chance that humanity will ultimately emerge victorious.
SDG 14 is important for the Republic of Belarus, although our country is landlocked, it is decorated with numerous rivers and lakes. It is important for everyone to take care of the preservation of marine ecosystems, since for some the sea is a source of food, so any pollution can lead not only to the death of marine organisms, but also of humans. Solving the tasks of SDG 14 is no less important for Belarus, since it is located on the Black Sea-Baltic watershed. The conservation of marine ecosystems is carried out through the protection of transboundary rivers. The sustainable development goals are interconnected, therefore, achieving one contributes to the achievement of all others. Any action: not buying plastic, increasing scientific knowledge, complying with international law contributes to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development! Let’s act locally and think globally together!
Terrestrial ecosystems play an important role in maintaining biodiversity and ensuring the sustainability of our planet. As part of the Sustainable Development Goals, the conservation and restoration of terrestrial ecosystems is a key priority. Terrestrial ecosystems are amazingly diverse and complex systems, with each organism playing a different role. Various types of ecosystems can be observed on the surface of the earth, from forests and fields to deserts and mountain ranges. Numerous species of plants, animals, and microorganisms thrive in the forests of the terrestrial ecosystem. Trees provide shelter for many animals and also provide oxygen and carbon dioxide to all organisms. In turn, the animals distribute plant seeds and help circulate nutrients. On steppes and deserts, terrestrial ecosystems are adapted to hot climates and lack of moisture. It is home to animals that can withstand high temperatures, as well as plants that are adapted to minimal amounts of water. In every terrestrial ecosystem, there is a delicate balance between all organisms that maintains the cycle of life and ensures environmental sustainability. Therefore, the conservation and restoration of terrestrial ecosystems is an integral part of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Action must be taken to protect nature, sustainably use natural resources and combat climate change to ensure the well-being of our planet and future generations.
PEACE is an important word for every person on Earth. Its constituent parts are countless, and they must be understandable and accessible to all segments of the population, regardless of ethnicity, religion, citizenship, gender or other characteristics. The tasks facing humanity as a whole should be fully focused on improving, updating and strengthening the tools used to implement sustainable development goals that can rid the world of negative factors that undermine stability within states and in the international arena. Publicity, openness, transparency, awareness – this is the basis for building a peaceful and open society capable of developing and developing the population of our planet. Understanding the culture of law, awareness of the rule of law and achieving quality education in the legal field must be realized through education and open access to justice institutions through strengthening international cooperation and partnerships between countries. The Sustainable Development Goals are an important framework for creating a fairer, more sustainable and prosperous world for current and future generations.
The Sustainable Development Goals are a definitive call to action, a plan to achieve a better future by ending poverty, ending hunger, stimulating economic growth and addressing a range of issues in education, health, social protection and the environment. As the Youth ambassador for SDG 17, I will promote partnerships for sustainable development. Everything in this world is interconnected and therefore only partnership and cooperation is the only true strategy for the development of humanity. The key task of Youth Ambassadors is to convey to as many people as possible the importance of sustainable development in all areas, without leaving anyone behind.
We will see the whole before the parts! We can see the forest for the trees! We will defend the honor of each of the Goals! We will create a sustainable world!
